This café is actually run by an AI bot called Mona - you can talk to her on the phone hanging on the wall, or order coffe from her human employees :)

Chris Dayley reviewed Resolute Baptist Hospital · New Braunfels

The Resolute Baptist Hospital in the Creekside area of New Braunfels might not be the first place you think of when looking for places to work, but this place is a hidden gem for remote workers. If you go through the main hospital doors and turn right then left, you'll see a small coffee shop where you can grab a coffee or snack before sitting down to work. As you proceed down the hall, you'll see a large seating area with a wide variety of seating types. Keep going and you'll eventually turn right and see the cafeteria with more seating and a nice outdoor patio. I have never seen more than a hand full of people sitting here, and most of them are concentrated near the cafeteria. There are several places to sit that have outlets, and there is a shaded area outside to sit when the weather is nice. Be aware though, the doors to get back in from the outside area are often locked. https://nbremoteworker.blogspot.com/

Chris Dayley reviewed Forty Six Coffee House and Bakery · New Braunfels

This is my favorite place to work. I stop by here at least once a week. I like it so much that I'm afraid to share it with people because I don't want it to get too busy. This is the Forty-Six cafe. It's located inside of the McKenna children's museum. There are a few reasons why I like it so much. 1. It has a great outdoor sitting area. It's shaded and there are very few people that ever go out there. It has a few outlets I can plug into, and the wifi works well outside. With the number of nice weather days in New Braunfels, a good outdoor working space is essential for me. 2. I love the coffee here. They have one of my favorite lattes ever, the Forty-Sixer. There are also a wide variety of drink options. 3. OMG the food is so good here. The muffins are great. The kolaches as well. AND I've had several lunches here that were just so so good. From the regular menu, I like to get the buffalo chicken sandwich. They also have regular specials that rotate. One of my favorites is the boudin egg rolls with gumbo. I also love their club sandwich. When I order food, they bring it out to me on the patio and I just sit and enjoy. 4. The staff here is awesome. It's a coffee shop so the front counter turnover is pretty regular, but they always hire great people. I've had some of the best conversations with the people who take my order and make my coffee. They also have a nice seating area inside the shop as well as additional seating in the hallway going toward the museum. The only real con for me is that they don't open until 9am. Most days I try to start work around 8 or 8:30. https://nbremoteworker.blogspot.com/

StrayAchiever reviewed Bitcoin Coffee · Prague

The café at entrance floor of Paper Hub coworking space in Paralelní Polis. The café is an open space but the coworking facilites in the building require membership. Quite spacious and calm place to sit and work on a laptop, but not so many power outlets near tables - no extra effort have been made to provide charging possibilites aside from the few existing wall sockets. The simple menu offers only hot and cold drinks, including beer and wine, no food. Prices are in CZK but payments are accepted only in crypto, you can pay with a crypto wallet app capable of scanning invoice QR codes. There is an "ATM machine" in the entrance where you can input cash (CZK/EUR) that gets converted to Bitcoin.

StrayAchiever reviewed Wiener Feinbäckerei Heberer · Wien

A café inside Vienna Central station with generous opening hours, great coffee and a nice selection of sandwiches and sweets. There are some power sockets mounted in the bench seats at the high tables and along the innermost wall. The café does not have an own guest wifi, but you can use the station's free wifi "OEBB-station" that is available in the whole building. Same with guest wc, the café itself does not have it but it is available nearby in the station (paid, euro coins only). This is a medium sized café that might not be the optimal place to sit and work for a long time if you want a calm and quiet environment, because of the location there are sometimes a lot of travellers coming and going.

StrayAchiever reviewed Waynes Coffee · Stockholm

Nice, fresh and central - a short walk up the street from Stockholm Central Station - with free wifi. A spacious air conditioned café, I stopped by on a hot summer day to cool down with an ice latte, recharge my phone and study for a while. Some seats in the corner are equipped with power sockets. There is also a wc for customers, ask the staff for the door code.

StrayAchiever reviewed Scandic Continental · Stockholm

Don't only look to cafés and libraries for good spots to do remote work - many Scandic hotels offer a great environment for working or studying on a laptop in the hotel lobby, with free wifi and special co-working tables equipped with many power outlets set up for the purpose. Scandic Continental is one of the most central hotels in Stockholm with such facilities - right across the street from Central Station. There are also smaller tables with sofas and armchairs in addition to the co-working desks, and the reception and bar is close at hand for getting a coffee, drink or some food. The opening hours are generous so this is a nice place to go to for remote working in evening time, and also for meeting up with friends or colleagues since the central location is easy to get to and from with public transport.

Wesley C reviewed GRANO x GRANO CAFÉ · Guadalajara

This space is open doors, like a lot of places I worked out of in Thailand. It's a small coffee shop and I have seen patrons working out of there on their laptops. I would say it's nice for a couple hours of work but not a place to be all day. I like to go there to get out of the room sometimes. The coffee is single origin and they also have some imports. Great vibe. Owners are friendly and accommodating. Good for you and a guest, not really for groups. I'll grab some pictures next time :)

StrayAchiever reviewed EINSTEIN KAFFEE am Mercedes Platz · Berlin

Saved my day when strolling on town near Warschauer strasse and in desperate need for charging the phone. The café is located next to the remaining part of the Berlin Wall along the Spree river and a short walk from The Wall Museum. Power sockets and free open wifi available - plus great coffee and delicious cakes as always at Einstein

StrayAchiever reviewed Balzac Coffee · Berlin

When I visited 2023-05-26 this place had become an Espresso house, which is still good for remote work or studies. There are some seats with power outlets, wifi is free and there is a wc for guests. If you don't need to be plugged in for power supply, you can also choose to sit in the shade at nice tables outside, at least in summer time. Walking distance from Alexanderplatz and near to Museumsinsel

StrayAchiever reviewed Kafé Plattan · Stockholm

This is an all vegan café at the bottom floor of Kulturhuset (Stockholm House of Culture and City Theatre). The place is next to Sergels torg and the Central Metro station, i.e in the heart of Stockholm city. Kulturhuset offers free wifi in the whole five floor building and there are seats for visitors placed out in the public areas, but there are no tables except in the cafés/restaurants - not even in the library! Restrooms are available at a fee, there are also lockers but they were out of order when I visited. Kafé Plattan is the best place in the house for working/studying on a laptop, since they have some spacious marble tables with power sockets below the seats - enough room for both work and a "Swedish fika".

Ali Arif Soydaş reviewed Fabrikafa Make & Coffee · I Stanbul

If you're looking for a friendly spot with helpful staff, look no further than this place! I'm a regular here and always feel welcomed by the warm atmosphere. The food is delicious, and the café is perfect for getting some work done with its variety of working tables and chill vibe. They've got a great selection of music playing too, which adds to the ambiance. While there are some areas for improvement, such as the occasional slow service, it's definitely worth a visit for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a welcoming place to grab a bite or get some work done.

StrayAchiever reviewed Stockholm City Museum · Stockholm

The City museum is close to the metro hub Slussen but still offers a relatively calm environment. The museum's café has lots of seats, there are power sockets near a few of the tables. Priceworthy coffee and cookies, there are also sandwiches and warm food on the menu. There are two free open wifis - StockholmPublic and StockholmGuest. Restrooms and cloakroom with lockers are available free of charge on the same floor in the museum. If you need a break from sitting down with work or studies, go see the exhibitions - the museum entrance is also free.

StrayAchiever reviewed Café Pascal · Stockholm

Seemed like a good place for remote work - but there was a sign on the cashier desk saying "No computers Weekday 11-15 and all weekend pls". There is though a password protected guest wifi and some of the seats have nearby power sockets. Close walking distance from Odenplan metro and commuter rail station

StrayAchiever reviewed Espresso House · Stockholm

A spacious two floor Espresso House close to the Central station with generous opening hours. Has a variety of places to sit to choose between including comfortable sofas, seats at larger round tables and smaller café tables. The seats along the walls have power outlets beneath them. Free open Wifi is available and there are restrooms for guests on both floors.
