This café is actually run by an AI bot called Mona - you can talk to her on the phone hanging on the wall, or order coffe from her human employees :)

Chris Dayley reviewed Resolute Baptist Hospital · New Braunfels

The Resolute Baptist Hospital in the Creekside area of New Braunfels might not be the first place you think of when looking for places to work, but this place is a hidden gem for remote workers. If you go through the main hospital doors and turn right then left, you'll see a small coffee shop where you can grab a coffee or snack before sitting down to work. As you proceed down the hall, you'll see a large seating area with a wide variety of seating types. Keep going and you'll eventually turn right and see the cafeteria with more seating and a nice outdoor patio. I have never seen more than a hand full of people sitting here, and most of them are concentrated near the cafeteria. There are several places to sit that have outlets, and there is a shaded area outside to sit when the weather is nice. Be aware though, the doors to get back in from the outside area are often locked. https://nbremoteworker.blogspot.com/

Chris Dayley reviewed Forty Six Coffee House and Bakery · New Braunfels

This is my favorite place to work. I stop by here at least once a week. I like it so much that I'm afraid to share it with people because I don't want it to get too busy. This is the Forty-Six cafe. It's located inside of the McKenna children's museum. There are a few reasons why I like it so much. 1. It has a great outdoor sitting area. It's shaded and there are very few people that ever go out there. It has a few outlets I can plug into, and the wifi works well outside. With the number of nice weather days in New Braunfels, a good outdoor working space is essential for me. 2. I love the coffee here. They have one of my favorite lattes ever, the Forty-Sixer. There are also a wide variety of drink options. 3. OMG the food is so good here. The muffins are great. The kolaches as well. AND I've had several lunches here that were just so so good. From the regular menu, I like to get the buffalo chicken sandwich. They also have regular specials that rotate. One of my favorites is the boudin egg rolls with gumbo. I also love their club sandwich. When I order food, they bring it out to me on the patio and I just sit and enjoy. 4. The staff here is awesome. It's a coffee shop so the front counter turnover is pretty regular, but they always hire great people. I've had some of the best conversations with the people who take my order and make my coffee. They also have a nice seating area inside the shop as well as additional seating in the hallway going toward the museum. The only real con for me is that they don't open until 9am. Most days I try to start work around 8 or 8:30. https://nbremoteworker.blogspot.com/
